My first tut! XD Thnx to MW.PMI for the Tutorial Tut XD
Note: This wont teach basics or anything, this will only explain how i make some of my fx and how i use the filters and the smudge tool for this style. This WONT teach you how to make the sig exactly. First, its impossible, second, experiment! Tuts are guidelines. Take what you need from them and keep going, you never follow them and stick with them for the rest of your life (aka whoring) >.< Enjoy, c&c + outcomes appreciated Edit: Max size is 800 x 600... i guess i have to cut it on half XD wait a min *sighs* hmm, i cant put it directly on the post >.< If anyone knows how to let me know As for now, i'll leave the link to the DA CODE http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/58870340/

Im looking forward to trying out this smudging technique. I especially liked how you pointed out tuts being "guidelines"

QUOTE(.CaR @ Jul 30 2007, 04:56 PM) ![]() It's kind of plain, and i've never attempted this style before, any suggestions to make it less.. simple? sry for late reply, i've stop doing sigs for a bit so i didnt visit this site (well, i did come by but just glanced XD) And yeah, thats the problem with this style, you need to make the fx smaller (not making huge chunks) and add more detail to the fx to make it look good. On your case, besides making little chunks fx you need to make the fx more interesting and add more to compliment the stock (compo). The render used here's not the best choice since the style is pretty much plainish, so you need a render/stock with action and flow. ah, and thnx brad -------------------- ![]() We are recruiting members for m.a.d. team. Very nice. I'll try this one out rite now!
Wow, this may make me sound retarded but I am stuck lol. When you say smudge one of the wave filters, I smudge it, below the render rite? Well, it doesn't look like the smudged layer is below the render layer on your tut. So, I put it above and it doesn't look rite when I put it to pin light. Any help? -------------------- |

I only mess with sharpen and line outline settings. Just mmove those sliders but make sure the topaz lines dont appear on the tag, keep it blurish and sharpen manualy QUOTE(xHaLoXBlOoDx @ Oct 17 2007, 04:07 AM) Very nice. Any help? hmm, if you mean the very first smudge layer, yes, it goes above the render layer, you need to erase what doesnt looks good tho, thats what i did up there. Also, kep in mind that this "style" doesnt works with every type of render, you need to choose vividich colors for the pin light fx to look good. You can also change the pin light layer's colors but you'll need quite a few layers to fix coloring @ the end QUOTE(rockistachiq @ Oct 17 2007, 07:04 AM) this tutorial is really nice no problem very sorry for late reply, didnt noticed this posts,if anyone haves probs with the tut PM me, i think its better that way or i wont reply back any time soon xD -------------------- ![]() We are recruiting members for m.a.d. team. Hey Alex. Can you do me a favor? You said that only a few renders work for this tut due to coloring issues. I am not really good with saturation and all of that, so would it be ok if you could like post some Naruto renders that would be good for this tut? Or halo?
