Glad you guys like it!
evo, stop calling me man, rofl. xD <3 Here's how I make a tut... FIRST AND FOREMOST, MAKE SURE YOU USE READABLE FONTS AND FONT SIZES!!! Its a pain in the rear to have to decode or translate tutorials... xD 1) Open the .psd file in Photoshop 2) Go through and hide all the layers 3) Starting with the first layer, show each layer, make sure you know exactly, or at least for the most part, what you did, then name the layer. 4) Hide all the layers again. 5) Open a new document, I usually make the width of a tutorial about 100px wider than the actual tag, and start with 8000 px high. 6) Fill the first layer with your main color, mine is usually black. 7) If you want to have a stock image, as in my tutorial above, place the stock as a new layer, centered and all pretty for the title of the tutorial. To repeat the image for the length of the tutorial, just duplicate the layer, move it down, and use a large soft eraser to help it blend with the above image. Repeat all the way down, but remember, if your tutorial is too short, and you have to make it longer, you will have to do this again. 8) Start off with a nice font, titling your tutorial, explaining exactly what it is. Put this in the center, or left aligned, whatever you want. 9) Go back to your .psd and create a new layer on top, with an applied image of all layers.. If your layers are hidden, you'll have to make them visible again. 10) Paste the applied image under the title. To create the lines, simple create a single horizontal selection and fill it with white. Then using a 300 px eraser, click on the outermost edge of each side of the tutorial, to make it fade. 11) To label steps, just type out "Step 1" in the font/size of your choice, and adjust the opacity and location. Then I center my step descriptions, using a different, clean, smaller font. 12) Make the first layer of your .psd visible [it really helps to have all layers hidden, and make them visible as you reach each step.] then hit Print Screen.. Obviously, this will make a screenshot. Go back to your tutorial image, and paste the screenshot. Move it around until you get that first layer where you want it. Then use a rectangular marquee to select the tag only, control + i to invert your selection and then cut the selection. I use a default drop shadow effect on all the layers images to make them stand out better.. You may notice that the edges of your tutorial have part of the shadow in them, the easy way to get rid of that is to just crop the tutorial to the exact dimensions of you canvas; part of the screenshot is still off of the canvas, also being shadowed. 13) Its really easy from here.. Just duplicate your 'Step #1' text layer, and move it down to where you want to continue with Step #2, then duplicate your Step #1 description and move it down. These layers, obviously, can be edited to fit the next steps, so on and so forth. 14) Group each step into a group of its own!!!!! For instance, in this tutorial I have 21 groups. The first group includes the background and title info, then 19 groups for each step, and lastly one group for the credits and closing layers. As you go on to include more steps, make the layers visible again, and screenshot the newest layer. If you include a drop shadow on the layer images in the tutorial, just right click on the first layer, hit copy layer style, and then right click on the next layers and paste the layer style.. This tutorial took me about.. 2 or 3 hours.. Only because my .psd was really, really messy, and I created the cover/pack simultaneously, so I could include the pack cover on the tutorial. Make sure you credit every stock-holder, brush maker, and everything on your tutorial! A lot of people don't do this, but I think that it should be necessary for any tutorial produced and distributed!!! Hope this kinda helps.. I couldn't imagine making an actual tutorial on how to make tutorials, what a job! Lol. If anyone has questions, feel free to pm me. Also, if you have a tag that you'd like a tutorial for, I can make it for you if you send the .psd, and we have some sort of instant messaging contact in case I have any questions on steps and such. Ugh, long post.. Bedtime. =] -------------------- |

Eh, this tutorial is a more paraphrased version of others I usually do, instead of including hotkeys, and things such as ''Layer > New Adjustment Layer > Gradient Map...", I just said to make a such-and-such gradient map.. Imo, and from your post, I don't really think this should be classed at moderate skill, but oh well, whatever the DV team thinks is best works for me. =]
And its long because there was a lot of time and effects put into the tag.. Not everything is just a snap, quick and easy. =\ -------------------- |

Thanks for the tut man, I have a great outcome:
I had to skip some parts and make a background, but I like it.
